Digital radiography

Our digital x-ray system uses a phosphor plate in the mouth instead of thicker conventional film. Not only is this more comfortable but since the plate is more sensitive, your radiation dose (and ours) is reduced by up to 90% which means that we could take up to 10 radiographic plates for the same dose as 1 conventional film. The benefits of digital radiography don't end there: since the radiographic image appears on the computer screen in seconds, there is no more waiting around for x-ray results; the use of toxic chemicals, necessary for developing conventional film, are not required, so digital radiography is kinder to the environment, too.
