Mouthguards

Teeth and jaws (of any age) are seriously at risk of injury if you or your child engage in regular sporting activities, especially if these involve contact sports such as rugby, judo, soccer or hockey.

Protection can be provided by use of a properly fitted mouthguard. Available in a wide range of colours, these are made, in approximately 2 weeks, from a quick impression mold of the teeth. Unlike the 'heat-to-fit' versions sold in sports shops, a custom-made mouthguard accurately fits the mouth so it doesn't fall out or interfere with breathing; it can also prevent concussive injuries.
